About Me
Heidi Larner
Integrative Psychotherapist MBACP (Accred)

Since early on in life, I’ve had a deep curiosity about what lies beyond the surface, about the mysteries that shape who we are and how we heal. Since 2002, a deep inner awakening and curiosity about the workings of the human mind and the unconscious have guided me on a lifelong journey to understand the nature of human experience in its full depth; body, mind, and spirit.
My own path of healing and discovery has led me to explore and experience many dimensions of human consciousness, including meditation, yoga, energy healing, evolutionary astrology, metaphysics, and earth-based spirituality. These practices have shaped not only my understanding of the inner world but also how I meet life; through presence, compassion, and embodied awareness. They remain an essential part of who I am and continue to inform the way I hold space for myself and others.

Alongside this personal exploration, I undertook professional training in contemplative and transpersonal psychology, and traditional eastern arts, where I studied meditation, mindfulness, and yoga philosophy and asana practice. The transpersonal focus deepened my understanding of navigating states of consciousness, transcendent experiences, and the ways meaning emerges in human life. Through these studies, I cultivated an understanding of the body as a sacred vessel for awareness, transformation, and healing. Together, these foundations continue to guide my work, weaving psychological insight with contemplative wisdom, embodied practice, and the mysteries of the soul.

Further professional development has strengthened my expertise in working with complex trauma, PTSD, and the intricate dynamics of the human nervous system. This has included the cultivation of strong clinical counselling skills grounded in humanistic and depth-oriented approaches, supporting a capacity to work relationally and attune to the deeper layers of experience. Further advanced training deepened my understanding of the neurobiological, psychological, and physical effects of trauma, enhancing both insight and clinical responsiveness. These insights allow me to integrate evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches with a compassionate, body-oriented awareness that supports stability, regulation, and lasting change.

My work is rooted in presence and informed by the wisdom of the body, integrating both grounded awareness and emotional depth. My philosophy towards life is transpersonal and spiritual, which is ultimately about inclusivity, expansion, and acceptance. I do not subscribe to any specific belief system and remain open-minded to all, honouring the unique path of each individual. I bring curiosity and compassion to the therapeutic space, creating a container where clients can safely explore the deeper layers of their experience, reconnect with their innate wisdom, and realign with the truth of who they are.
